Sounds like you had one of those momments that come around every once in a while when teaching seems worthwhile and you can tell you made a difference. I've not been there yet, and I'm glad I'll have a chance to see it.<BR/>My school's 8th grade trip to DC a few years ago met up with some WWII vets at the WWII memorial in DC. It was at the time of the official opening, and when our kids saw the vets (identified by hats and jackets) they ran up, gave hugs, and said "Thanks for what you did."
