Best post I've seen related to the idea of banning a potentially disruptive technology is Doug Johnson's article in the <A HREF="http://www.iste.org/Content/NavigationMenu/Publications/LL/LLIssues/Volume_33_2006_2005_/March_No_6_/March_2006.htm" REL="nofollow">March issue of ISTE's Learning and Leading with Technology</A> on banning pencils.
