First Day of the New School Year

The pencils are sharpened, the white boards are - well, white - and the junior high students will be lost and romaing the halls looking for their classes. It must be the first day of school! Tomorrow - August 16th - will be the first day of classes for us in the Liberty Public School District. Here are a couple pictures of my room as it awaits eager students. Hope everyone out there has a great start to the 2007/2008 school year.

Great blog, I wanted to contact you with a resource you might find interesting for your Civil War unit:

    Kind Regards,

  3. That Nat'l Champions banner? Is that from 1897? Cause ain't that the last time the Cornhuskers won the title?

    Gooooooooo Sooners!

Great pictures! This is how I'd like my desk area to look once I start teaching!

  4. I was wondering if anyone would make a comment about the Husker banner behind my desk - leave it to a Sooner! Yes, that actually does say 1997 and if you look closely you can see the other 4 national championships on the bottom of the banner - one from 1971 that might sting a Sooner fan a little! :) All in fun. GO BIG RED and good luck to Oklahoma this season.

    Great classroom.
Can you tell me about the clocks on the wall? Are they drilled in?
