Animoto History Video

I've been having some fun creating Animoto videos since receiving my free educator account last week. I'm inviting my students to join a book club next week in which we'll be reading "Guns for General Washington" by Seymour Reit. I wanted to create some excitement about joining the History Geeks for the book club so I put together this little video.

  1. Excellent use of Animoto. I could not see how to use this in any way other than a picture slideshow, but you found a great application for it!

  2. What a great way to use Animoto. I can't wait to start creating a couple of book trailers using Animoto. I think it would also be a great book project for students!

I love this! I am also an 8th grade history teacher. I used animoto to introduce myself this school year, but have yet to use it for content. I have one created for a unit on slavery I will show soon. I hope to get students using this asap! Thanks for your creative blog!

this is really a good way to use Animoto. I think that is so fantastic! That’s great that you can contribute to these meetings and the teachers take what you say and use it. This has been a wonderful class
