Ten Steps to Becoming A 21st Century Educator

Hello. This presentation was given at the 2008 Technology Innovations Conference sponsored by SuccessLink in Osage Beach, Missouri. The date of the presentation is July 18, 2008 and it was presented at a lunch session.

  2. Excellent job, as usual. What kind of reaction did you receive after the presentations? Do you think the Missouri teachers are starting to "get it"?

  4. Thanks for the comments. In response to William's question - I think that more and more teachers in Missouri are starting to "git it" but it is still a very slow process. I see some of these technologies gaining traction in my own district - someone will do something with Audacity for example and when it works well someone else will try it later.

    For the most part the response from the audience after the presentations are great but it is often like "preaching to the choir" and many of them are already either familiar with the tools or currently using them. Right now I am trying to find ways to encourage people that have never heard or used these tools to at least try them for at least one project in their classroom.
